In 2013, the European regulation on the labeling of cosmetic products was renewed.

Companies that must comply with the new regulation

The new regulation will affect all cosmetics manufacturers, i.e. “any substance intended to come into contact with the superficial parts of the human body or with the teeth and oral mucous membranes.

Labeling instructions for cosmetic products

The mandatory data that must be indicated and must be easily readable and visible are:

  • Name or company name and address of the manufacturer.
  • Nominal content (except for packages of less than 5 g, 5 ml, single doses or free samples).
  • Expiration.
  • Special precautions for use.
  • Lot.
  • Product function.
  • Ingredients.
