What is stamping?

Category: News

Stamping is a type of heat printing that is produced on different surfaces. In order to perform it, a balance between temperature, cliché strength, type of paper and the properties of the surface used must be achieved.

The film used to make the print is a thin polyester film with a high pigmentation that with the contact with high temperatures makes it possible to transfer the print much easier. At Boronatic we use this technique to achieve a high quality finish.

In general, all types of paper accept this technique, but even so, some, such as coated paper, may cause more problems, as they are prone to the appearance of air bubbles.

In Boronatic, in order to achieve a high contrast both to the touch and at a visual level, we apply the stamping technique on a matte plasticized material.

Where can stamping be used?
It can also be applied to boxes, labels(e.g. wine labels), invitations, books, cards, cosmetics, magazines, household appliances, and any object or material that needs to be printed.
